Advancing Educational Equity Through Structured Community Learning

The Ray Project is Moralkart Foundation’s flagship initiative dedicated to strengthening educational equity for children from underserved communities in Pune.

Established in 2017, Ray was born out of a simple yet urgent need — to ensure that children from vulnerable backgrounds receive consistent, concept-based academic support beyond school hours. What began as a grassroots initiative has now evolved into a structured, impact-driven education model serving nearly 100 children annually.

Ray operates through two physical learning centers in Pune and integrates both academic strengthening and youth mentorship for holistic development.

Ray Foundation

Why Ray exists?

In many low-income communities, children attend school but lack:

  • Foundational clarity in core subjects
  • Individual academic attention
  • Exposure to practical learning methods
  • Mentorship and long-term guidance

Ray bridges this gap by providing structured, level-based learning that prioritizes conceptual understanding over rote memorization. Ray Project is Moralkart Foundation’s flagship educational equity initiative in Pune, providing level-based academic support and youth mentorship for underserved communities.

We believe education must build confidence, not fear — and understanding, not memorization.

Each child receives over 500 additional guided learning hours annually, significantly strengthening academic performance and confidence.

This ensures long-term academic retention rather than short-term exam preparation.

How it works

The Ray Center Program operates in two community-based learning centers in Pune.Children attend weekday sessions where they receive structured academic support designed by Moralkart’s internal curriculum team.

Preparing Adolescents for Life Beyond the Classroom

Mentorship Program

As children transition into adolescence, academic support alone is not sufficient. The Ray Mentorship Program addresses this critical developmental phase. This initiative supports older students through structured weekend sessions. Mentorship bridges the gap between education and aspiration. Many students from vulnerable communities lack access to role models and career guidance. Through mentorship, Ray helps students grow with desired directions. The mentorship program ensures that education leads not only to academic advancement but to empowered adulthood.

Ray is more than an education program. It is a promise — that no child’s potential will be limited by circumstance.

In communities where opportunity is often fragile, Ray builds stability. In classrooms where hesitation once existed, confidence now grows. And in children who once doubted their ability, ambition is beginning to take shape.

Every concept understood, every sentence spoken confidently, and every child who dares to dream bigger is a reminder of why Ray exists.

Because educational equity is not charity.
It is justice in action.

You can support Ray by:

  • Partnering through CSR initiatives
  • Sponsoring a child’s annual learning
  • Volunteering your time and skills
  • Contributing through individual donations
